1. Introduction of Leaping Hare Statue
Barry Flanagan (1941–2009) was a Welsh sculptor best known for his “Leaping Hare” series. Born in Prestatyn, North Wales, he studied architecture at the Birmingham School of Art and Crafts before transferring to the Central School of Art and Design in London to study sculpture. He created his first “Leaping Hare” bronze sculpture in 1979, inspired by seeing a hare running across a Sussex marsh. The Leaping Hare Statue depicts a hare leaping with exaggerated, elongated movements, gracefully poised above a curved base.
With its ears perked up and limbs stretched out, the hare appears to be bounding freely through the air, conveying a sense of both power and lightness. The base is simply designed and stable. The dark patina of the bronze lends the Leaping Hare Sculpture a timeless and dignified quality, creating a unique contrast with its playful and dynamic pose. This Leaping Hare Statue is suitable for both natural landscapes and modern architectural settings, adding a vibrant touch to any environment. Arturban Sculpture can customize various animal statues.
