1. Introduction of Tibetan Buddhist Sculpture

Guru Padmasambhava is the founder of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism. He is revered as the “Second Buddha”. In the 8th century AD, he entered Tibet at the request of the Tibetan King Trisong Detsen to promote esoteric Buddhism and subdue demonic obstacles, which had a profound impact on the establishment of Tibetan Buddhism. He integrated the teachings of Indian esoteric Buddhism, Mahayana Buddhism and the local Bon religion. He was regarded as a guru with great wisdom and supernatural powers by believers and widely spread the “guru correspondence method”. This Tibetan Buddhist Sculpture of Guru Padmasambhava is lifelike, showing his solemn and majestic appearance.

The meditating buddha statue is in full lotus position, with a round face and distinct facial features. He wears a five-Buddha crown on his head, showing the king’s demeanor. He holds a vajra in his right hand, symbolizing the elimination of troubles and blessings; he holds a votive bottle in his left hand, which is placed in his arms, representing the nectar of wisdom. There is a three-pronged vajra staff on his left shoulder, with a banner wrapped around it, which has the power of protecting the law. The robes are exquisitely engraved. The entire Tibetan Buddhist Sculpture is placed on a lotus seat, conveying a sense of stability and awareness. It is widely used in Tibetan temples, ceremonies or places of practice for the purpose of praying, seeking protection and practicing the Dharma. Arturban Sculpture can customize various buddha statues. Welcome to contact us for more details.
