1. Introduction of Seated Shakyamuni Buddha

Both of these sculptures are Shakyamuni Buddha, both made of copper. The buddha in the Seated Shakyamuni Buddha sculpture is sitting cross-legged, with his left hand flat on his legs in the mudra of concentration, symbolizing meditation and wisdom. Both of their right hands are naturally drooping, forming the bhumisparsha mudra or slightly changing. The palm of the former (copper) right hand is slightly upward, although it also touches the ground, but it is more inclined to symbolize giving or acceptance; the palm of the latter (gold) right hand is downward, with fingers touching the ground, symbolizing that when the Buddha attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree, he used the ground as a witness.

In terms of modeling details, both have typical Buddha features, such as spiral hair, long ears, and right-exposed cassock. The bronze Sakyamuni Statue is simple and plain, with smooth overall lines, showing a sense of purity and nature in Southeast Asian or Central Plains style; while the golden Buddha statue is more solemn and gorgeous, showing the common artistic style of Tibetan Buddhism.
