1.Introduction of philosopher’s rock
This is the bronze philosopher’s rock designed by artist Glenna Goodacre, was installed on November 21, 1994 under a pecan
forest outside the entrance of the Barton Spring Swimming Pool in Zilker Park, Austin, Texas. This group of sculptures, based
on a huge rock, depicts Austin resident and naturalist Roy Bedichek, humorist J. Frank Dobie and historian Walter Prescott Webb.
These three literary giants gather on the rocks by the swimming pool every afternoon for informal and intense discussions, known
as “Austin’s first literary salon”. They are writers and professors, but more importantly, they are sincere friends. Since the early 1900s,
they have gathered every day to chat about friendship and literature. They are praised as literary giants in Texas, placing great
importance on friendship and emotional exchange, and enjoying the beautiful natural scenery at Barton Springs.
This Bronze sculpture vividly shows the images of the three sages and captures their intimate conversation in the natural environment.
This set of sculptures is not only a work of art, but also a witness to history, showcasing the wisdom, friendship, and love for nature of
these three great writers. At the same time, this sculpture has also become a cultural symbol of Austin, attracting many tourists to come
and appreciate the charm and emotions of this period of history. The Bronze Sage Stone sculpture is permanently preserved in Zilker
Park, becoming an important commemoration of the literary history and natural beauty of Texas.

My artist will make 1:1 clay mold, when finished clay mold. We will take photos for your reference, the clay mold can modify any
details till you satisfied with it. Then we go ahead to make statue, when finished statue, also we will take photos for your reference.
