1. Introduction of Dreaming Boy Statue
Dreaming Boy is a marble sculpture created by the Belgian sculptor Alfons van Beurden (1854–1938), dated 1908, and currently housed in the Royal Museums of Fine Arts, Antwerp, Belgium. Van Beurden was known for his realistic depictions of figures, capturing natural movements and subtle emotions, particularly focusing on the portrayal of children. This Dreaming Boy Statue depicts a boy sitting alone on a rock, his head lowered, arms folded, and posture conveying a moment of deep contemplation.
This Dreaming Boy Statue is sculpted from white marble, depicting a nude boy sitting on an irregular rock. The boy has short, slightly curly hair with a natural fringe, soft facial features, and downcast eyes focused on his knees. One leg is bent and raised, knee close to chest, arms are drawn forward, hands clasped above the knee, and head is slightly tilted forward. The other leg extends naturally downward, the foot touching the edge of the rock base. This sculpture is suitable for display in art galleries, private sculpture collections, and classical-style interior spaces. Arturban Sculpture can customize various boy sculptures.
