Introduction of Mother Bear and Cub Statue The American Black Bear (Ursus americanus) is one of the most widely distributed bear species in North America, belonging to the genus Ursus in the family Ursidae. Their ancestors can be traced back millions of years to early bears that lived in Asia and North America. With changes in geographical environment and species evolution, they gradually formed the independent population adapted to the North American forest ecosystem. American Black Bears are mainly distributed in Canada, the United States, and northern Mexico. Mother bears typically care for their cubs alone, responsible for protection, foraging instruction, and survival training during their development. This Mother Bear and Cub Statue series is inspired by the American Black Bear and includes two parent-child themed sculptures.
