1. Introduction of Qilin Sculpture
This Qilin statue is based on the traditional East Asian mythical creature, the Qilin. Sometimes referred to as the “Chinese unicorn,” the Qilin is not the same mythical creature as the European unicorn. The Qilin typically incorporates features of dragons, deer, and horses, and is considered a symbol of peace, auspiciousness, and benevolence. This Qilin Sculpture clearly depicts these characteristics: a horned head, an open mouth revealing teeth, a mane with cascading layers, a scale-covered body, and powerful limbs. In some poses, the forelegs press down on a sphere, making the overall form more like a guardian beast of an entrance.
The entire Qilin sculpture is made of bronze, ideal for depicting intricate details such as scales, mane, horns, and facial patterns. The sculpture also exhibits strong symmetry when displayed in pairs. Such sculptures are suitable for hotel entrances, cultural centers, temples, restaurants, private courtyards, or spaces housing Oriental art collections. Arturban Sculpture can customize various mythical animal statues. Welcome to contact us for more details.
