The cut-out version opens the shell vertically, revealing two plump, yellow segments of flesh on the front, while retaining the light-colored inner membrane and shell structure in the middle, with spikes continuously arranged along the edge. Different Giant Durian Sculptures use yellow-green, olive green, or brownish-yellow treatments on the shell color to represent the color changes of the durian as it grows and ripens.
